As we begin a new year, our Outreach program will continue supporting the community groups established by Wendy Jones. We are deeply grateful for all the work our members have done over the past few years, and we look forward to continuing that generosity in 2026.
We will be starting the year a little slowly, as I will be having my second cataract surgery on January 19th. Because I’ll have restrictions on bending and lifting following the surgery, I won’t be able to attend the January guild meeting. I ask that you please hold on to your Outreach donations until February.
In the meantime, this year I’ll be offering a free pattern each month to anyone interested in some new inspiration for donation quilts. At the guild meeting, I’ll bring 5 printed copies of the pattern for those who need it. If you are able to print your own and you’d like me to send you a copy, I’ll have a sign up sheet for you to leave your name and email and a PDF copy will be sent out as soon as I can following the meeting.
The first pattern I’ve picked will be great for a focus print that you’ve got in your stash along with a coordinating color and background fabric. While it is a three yard pattern, it would be easy to increase the size. Adding maybe another ½ yard to the fabric requirements and increasing the size of the outer border could make it large enough for the dialysis center or for older children and adults at Family Promise.
Remember: Please do not bring donations to the January meeting.
Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support of Outreach.
